Sehun was first scouted by an S.M. Entertainment casting agent at 12 years old while he was out having lunch with friends. While at first running away from the agent for 30 minutes and being chased down the streets, he was eventually cast into S.M. Entertainment in 2008. He went through four auditions in two years.[5] On January 10, 2012, Sehun became the fifth Exo member to be officially introduced to the public.[6] The group made their debut with the extended play Mama in April 2012.
In February 2016, Sehun received a Weibo Star Award as voted by users of the Chinese social networking site Sina Weibo at the 5th Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.[7] In March 2016, Sehun was cast as the male lead in the upcoming Korean-Chinese movie Catman,[8][9]which is set to be released in 2018. In July 2016, Sehun was announced to be starring as the male lead in the upcoming Korean-Chinese web drama Dear Archimedes, which is set to begin airing in 2019.[10]
In September 2017, it was confirmed that Sehun will be a fixed cast member in Netflix's variety show The Culprit is You.[11]

Sehun was born in Seoul, South Korea on April 12, 1994. His full name is Oh Sehun. He is a rapper and lead dancer at EXO, one of the boyband care SMentertainment. Sehun is the youngest member in EXO or "Magnae". he was introduced as an EXO member on January 10, 2012. Sehun's talent is found in a unique way. He was eating ddukbokgi by the side of the road when a manager approached him. Sehun who was then only 12 years old then thought the person who approached him was a freak and he escaped. SM Entertainment's manager chased him for 30 minutes before finally convincing Sehun and casting for him. Sehun became part of SM Entertainment since 2008 as a trainee after passing 4 auditions in 2 years.
Sehun graduated from Seoul Arts High School in early 2013. When SM Entertainment introduced the new boyband member (EXO) in an individual trailer. Sehun appeared in the trailer on January 10, 2012. Prologue single "What Is Love" is only sung by Baekhyun and D.O which was released on January 30, 2012.
